The
triVIN California Online Inquiry System (CA INQ) allows approved
businesses to perform real-time inquiries against the California
state DMV database in order to obtain information on a vehicle registration,
an individual’s driver’s license, or an occupational
license. |
By entering a license
plate, VIN, driver’s license, or occupational license number,
the system generates a Vehicle Registration, Driver's License (Full
Record or Status Only), or
Occupational License Inquiry Report within seconds.
The Vehicle Registration Inquiry Report provides valuable information
such as owner history, registration information, whether or not there
are outstanding parking tickets associated with
the vehicle, lease or lien information, and any DMV, federal, or state
restrictions (stops) on
the vehicle. This report also accurately reflects any current and future
state- and county-
based fees required to renew or re-register the vehicle.
The Driver’s License Inquiry Report provides information pertaining
to an individual driver and reflects the types of licenses a driver
holds, restrictions under which he/she is held, and any infractions
or accidents in which he/she has been involved.
The Occupational License Inquiry Report indicates whether or not an
individual or business entity is appropriately licensed with the state
to perform a particular job or transaction.
The CA DMV grants
access to the CA INQ application through a Commercial Requester Account
