How long has triVIN been in business?
TriVIN's online processing division, General Systems Solutions, started as a subsidiary of a small defense contractor in 1989. GSS introduced its first automated vehicle registration offering in 1993 and has been building its portfolio of related products and services ever since. For more details about how the company has evolved, please visit the Our History page.
What are the states that triVIN processes in?
While we always have new state products in various stages of development, triVIN currently provides complete online motor vehicle processing options in CA, CT, IN, MA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA, and WI.
Can I process through triVIN for another state?
Because all aspects of motor vehicle processing are state-specific and require access to the motor vehicle department's database, it's rare for any individual state to allow electronic processing from another. Currently, Maryland and Virginia are the only states that allow cross-processing with triVIN's OLRS.
Even though cross-processing with the OLRS is limited to MD and VA, triVIN does offer out-of-state processing for all 50 states through its RegUSA division. Visit the RegUSA page or go to www.regusa.com for more information about this time-saving solution.
Can you help with my out-of-state title work?
Yes. TriVIN's RegUSA division handles cross-border processing for all 50 states. Whether you mail in your deals or submit them electronically, RegUSA provides the fastest turnaround and most accurate processing available. Visit the RegUSA page or go to www.regusa.com for more information about this time-saving solution.
How can we save time processing with triVIN?
In addition to streamlining motor vehicle processing, allowing you to process transactions in real time, and providing accurate fees from your motor vehicle department, the OLRS imports deal information from your Dealer Management System (DMS). As a result, there is no need to re-enter deal information - you simply check it for accuracy and process the transaction.
What does your software cost?
TriVIN charges for use of its software on a per-transaction basis which varies by state. Please email or call us at 800.876.2312 for more information about transaction fees for your state.
How are transactions paid for?
TriVIN uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network to handle financial transactions between our customers and state motor vehicle departments.
Do you only accept electronic fund sweeps?
Because of its convenience and accuracy, we only accept payment via Automated Clearing House (ACH). Please email or call us at 800.876.2312 with any questions or concerns.
Do you have a setup fee?
No.
What do you charge for software updates?
Nothing - software updates are free.
Do you charge a monthly service fee?
No.
Do you have someone show me how to use the system?
Yes - training is included as part of the software installation. But it doesn't end there. TriVIN provides training at your location any time you need it - whether it's to re-familiarize you with a certain transaction or train a new employee, we have trainers located in each state who are ready to help whenever necessary.
Will you train at my location? Is there a charge for doing so?
Training and retraining are always free and are conducted onsite.
What if a mistake is made or something is missing?
The OLRS has built-in failsafes to ensure transaction accuracy. Many of these failsafes generate prompts to notify the user of an error but, in the event that a mistake still occurs or something is missing, our Call Center personnel are available to help resolve any resulting issues. They can be reached during all regularly scheduled hours of system operation at 800.374.4771.
Where is your customer service department located?
The triVIN Call Center is located at our headquarters in Groton, CT, but we also have field representatives in each state.
What are the hours of operation for your customer service line?
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time

Does triVIN Customer Support respond quickly?
