  1. What can I do when I cannot connect to process?
      There may be an issue with your computer or your modem. If you have an external modem, power it       off. Restart your computer. If you turned your modem off, turn the modem back on. Try to dial in       again. If you are still unable to connect, contact Customer Support at 800.374.4771.

  2. What do I do when I can no longer print registrations?
      Check to be sure that there is no paper jammed in the printer. Make sure that you have the correct       paper or document in the printer. If you have any unusual flashing lights on the printer, restart the       printer. You may need to power off the printer for a full minute before restarting it to clear the       printer's memory. Some of the newer printers do not have a power button and will need to be       unplugged. While the printer is turned off, restart the computer. Then power up the printer and try to       print again. If this does not work, contact Customer Support at 800.374.4771.

  3. How do I get past the error message HI1004 Barcode Database Problem, HA9999 Reg       Region Unavailable, or HA1002 System Abend?.
      These errors all reflect minor issues with DMV databases that should recover within 10 to 15       minutes. Wait and try to reprocess. It should work at that time.

  4. What do I do when a VIN will not decode?
      We will need a copy of the MSO so that we can manually decode and enter the VIN into our       system. You can fax it to 860.446.9920 and the VIN will usually be available to process the       following business day.

  5. How should I handle a Lien Release error?
      There are two common Lien Release errors that you may come across.

      1. If you are receiving an error stating HR1189 Lien Release/File Lien is Incompatible, contact           Private Sector Partnering and verify the lien position on the title or if it has been electronically           released. Enter the correct lien position, or leave the field blank if the lien was electronically           released.

      2. If you are receiving an error stating Lien Release Prohibited, and you are adding and releasing a           lien, on the Lien Holder screen, enter 99999 as the Lien Holder code, enter 0 in the Lien Release           field, and fill out an MV-900 Notice of Lien to add the lien.

   6. How do I process when I receive the error "HRQ001 multiple records found using search        criteria"?
       This message means that there may be other plates on file with the same beginning numbers. Hit        'OK' to this error and if the system brings up the fees, you can process it. If the system does not        bring up the fees, this will require DMV intervention and will need to be sent to a local office.

  7. Can I replace a vehicle's plates during a registration?
       You have the option to issue new plates in the current class during a Re-registration, a Renewal,        and an Amendment, but not during a Duplicate. On the Vehicle Information screen, select the        checkbox for Issue New Plates in Current Class.

  8. Can I process a Renewal and another transaction at the same time?
       Whenever you are prompted that this vehicle is eligible for Renewal, you must either process the        Renewal or process the transaction you are currently in. A Renewal will always need to be done        as a separate transaction.

  9. How do I process a Lease Buyout?
      You process Lease Buyouts under Registration and Title Only. The only time you can process a       Title Only is during a Lease Buyout.

10. Why is it that I get to the end of the transaction and it says Document: NA?
      At the beginning of the transaction, either Issue Temp Registration or Temp to Permanent Reg was       selected or you are out of documents. Check the Temporary Registration screen and, if this is       correct, verify that you have documents and that you have accepted them into your online       inventory. Keep in mind, inventory will not be accessible for processing until the following day.       (back to top)

11. What does "HR 1075 - No Match on Prior Owner"?
      The most common reason for this message is that you do not have the most recent title. You can       verify this with Private Sector Partnering.

12. Can I cancel a transaction done online?
      Yes. However, the transaction may only be canceled on the SAME DAY that the transaction was       conducted by the SAME OLRS USER on the SAME TERMINAL.

13. Can I amend a transaction done online?
      Yes, you may amend transactions that have been done online WITHIN THE LAST 5 BUSINESS        DAYS.

14. Can information be changed on a Duplicate Registration?
      Only INSURANCE COMPANY information can be changed.

      The inventory becomes available the NEXT BUSINESS DAY.

      No. If you wish to transfer unused registration equity, you should process a REREGISTRATION       and select ISSUE A NEW PLATE IN CURRENT CLASS.

      Yes. From the SETUP menu, select DEFAULT(S) from the sub menu. Then select LIEN       HOLDERS or INSURANCE COMPANIES and fill in the data on those screens. Then press the F2       key to accept the new data.
