GENERAL INFORMATION Information is available between 8:00a.m. and 4:00p.m. Monday through Friday excluding State holidays. Requests must be received by 3:30 p.m. if a response is desired the same day. All requests must be made via facsimile. Calls regarding transmission of a request can only be confirmed as received. Although our staff wishes to accommodate your needs, verbal requests for information cannot be accommodated. The most common causes of rejection are illegible information, incomplete information, and missing signatures. Each of these requires multiple phone calls and faxes to be made, thereby delaying the entire process. Attention to these details will help improve our service to you. If
you do not receive a response after an hour, please contact the online
office at 609.406.7344 to verify that your request
has been received. Since we often receive faxes without identification
or phone numbers, and fax transmissions are occasionally
interrupted, do not hesitate to contact the online office
if you haven't received a response
after an hour. Corpcodes are limited to 27 spaces. The customer must abbreviate his/her name. Changes or errors that aren't discovered on the same business
day as issuance must be rectified by contacting the Corpcode Unit at
609.633.9857. OWNER ONLY IDs (DRIVER'S LICENSE NUMBER) All information must be complete on the form: height, weight,
eye color, date of birth, and social security number. TIP: When photocopying
a driver's license (DL), it's wise to enlarge and lighten it. If the
facsimile copy of a DL is too dark, it cannot be accepted as ID. New Jersey titles: Fax front and back of title. Foreign (other state) titles: Fax front and back of title as well as a C-07 form (Application for Certificate of Title). Once a stop is cleared, the transaction must be processed
within 30 minutes or the Vehicle Stop Unit will reapply the
Stop notice. Once this has occurred, this unit will not remove
the stop a second
time. The transaction must then be sent to a regular agency
to be processed. Therefore, it is advisable to transmit all Vehicle Stop
titles to the
online office early in the day. This provides everyone with a better
window for processing once the stop is lifted. To confirm lessee information, fax the front of the title to the Online office. Be sure to include your name and phone number. Some
leases are difficult to cancel and must be faxed to the Help Line by
the NJ CAR staff. In these instances, the face of the
title and a completed BA-49 must be faxed to the online office. Be sure
to check the A-49 for signature and lease end date. |
